These records largely pertain to Shaw's work as executive assistant to William F. Miller, with some materials generated by Miller as VP for research during the years 1967-70. Included are correspondence, reports, minutes, memoranda, proposals, grant files, calendars, patent files, and other materials regarding computation, research funding, budgetary matters, and university administration. Of note are files on the establishment of BALLOTS; affirmative action and salary parity for women; provost's computer committee; and a wage/price freeze of 1971/72.
